Pronation/External Rotation (Weber c) ankle fracture. Mortise view shown demonstrates medial clear space widening, tibiofibular clear space widening, loss of tibiofibular overlap: all indicating a Syndesmotic injury associated with the ankle fracture. Fibular shortening with lateral subluxation of the talus is also demonstrated. |

Patient underwent ORIF of the lateral malleolus. Post operative Mortise view demonstrates continued medial clear space widening, tibiofibular clear space widening, loss of tibiofibular overlap.
