Phalangeal Shaft Case 2

| 25y/o RHD male sustained displaced long oblique phalangeal shaft fracture of his right ring finger playing flag football. Physical exam demonstrated obvious deformity with abnormal cascade (ring finger overlapping small finger with flexion)> Subjective normal distal sensation and <2 second distal capillary refill. P/A injury view shown. |

| Treated with ORIF via an ulnar sided midaxial incision at 10 days after injury. Difficulty was encountered regaining length likley secondary to the surgical delay. Fixation provided with screws from Synthes Mini-fragment set. 8 weeks post-operative P/A view shown. |
