Orthotripsy Indications

  • Plantar fasciitis which has failed 6 months of conservative care.

  • Must schedule Ossatron 

Orthotripsy Technique

  • 7 miniute procedure

Orthotripsy Complications

  • We discussed the risks of surgery including, but not limited to:  skin reddening, bruising, temporary numbness or tingling, plantar fascia tear, incomplete relief of pain, incomplete return of function, need for further surgery and the risks of anesthesia including heart attack, stroke and death. 

Orthotripsy Follow-up care

  • Post-op: WBAT in regular shoe, No running/sports for 4 weeks.  No lifting >25 pounds for 3 weeks.  Off feet for 24 hours.  Light duty for 2 weeks.
